Message from The Board

President of Salem Manor Society

Since the establishment of Salem Manor Nursing Home, Salem Manor Society has endeavored to meet the physical, spiritual, emotional and social needs of its residents in a loving home environment.

The supports required by residents span a great number of areas that include nursing care, dietitian consultation, recreational, social and exercise programs, spiritual care, and the day to day services such as laundry, meal preparation, and personal care assistance. All these activities are respectfully and lovingly delivered with a focus on resident needs.

About The Board of Directors

The Society’s Board Members bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise from diverse backgrounds and experiences to the Christian-based board. The Board is comprised of volunteers from all walks of life from business and management to health, human resources, and marketing. Each member of the Board has a passion for enhanced health care and seeks to make a difference for all residents who access the health care services Salem Manor provides.

The Board is responsible for the governance of and providing strategic direction to the organization. The Board also oversees the Chief Executive officer, who is responsible for day-to-day management of Salem Manor health care, programs and staff.

Overall, Board members contribute their knowledge, expertise and skills to ensure year-to-year excellence of and long-term sustainability for the organization. The Board typically meets 10 times per year and Board members are required to attend in-person and via teleconference, participating actively in Board business.
The Board also operates a 62-suite life lease building next door, Salem Mews.

Seeking New Board Members

We are currently seeking committed individuals to serve a three-year term on the Board. This is a volunteer (non-paid) position. Interested individuals are invited to complete this application form and submit it to the Board for consideration.

The Board will review all applications and contact qualified candidates for further discussion.
